I've been speaking to my tradie clients lately and we realized that they really spend a lot of time going into their truck looking for parts and it has two major impacts on your business.
The first one is productivity. Have a think about it. How many hours in the day do you spend looking for parts that you can't find? Secondly it actually impacts on your bank balance. You realise often it's easier just to go to the supplier and buy a new part than actually find it in that truck and that's impacting on the bank balance.
So let's do something about it. Let's clean up that truck and get into some sort of order. Firstly what about having a checklist so each time you go out you make sure you have those valuable pieces of equipment with you so when you're on site everything's there. Secondly what about labeling the things in the truck. That way if anyone else needs to find something they can easily go and get it and it's going to increase the productivity in your business.
